the worst review ever

I love when someone comes along with an idea I wish I'd been clever enough to think of myself. So when I heard that YA author Alexa Young had started a blog called The Worst Review Ever, I couldn't stop smiling. What a brillant concept—a place for writers, artists, musicians, actors and other creative types to get the last laugh at the odd subset of people (usually obscure, angry bloggers or random Amazon readers) who seem to enjoy eviscerating other people's work.

Now, I have no problem if people don't like my books. I am happy (really!) to read good, constructive criticism. I have learned something from every bad review I've ever gotten. Well, every one except the one I sent Alexa to post on her blog.
